I think that the iPod touch will remain in the lineup. It is still great for kids and audiophiles who don't want to use up their phone battery pumping away their music.I have five iPods at present. My iPod touch is 4th generation. I was planning on upgrading to 5th generation but that model is now two years old. Internet rumors abound as to when the 6th generation will be released or, with the popularity of iPhones and streaming music, the iPod touch will be dropped altogether. iPod sales are way down by Apple standards.
I hope that you are correct. If the 6th G ever comes out, I will be first in line. For me, the iPod touch is better than an iPhone. It will do most of the same tasks but has one big advantage: no one can call me on it.I think that the iPod touch will remain in the lineup. I'm with you there. It seems that if you answer, it only encourages more calls.I would never listen to music on a device that might at any moment interrupt me with a phone call.
