Judy Garland - who else? Not only is the song a masterpiece, as well as the vocal - so is the arrangement. I had never paid much attention to it, but it fit perfectly.
All the others were fighting for second. I didn't care for The Four Freshman, Jackie Wilson or Connie Francis. I liked Ray Charles, but felt my opinion would change after several replays. As I recall this one of Mandy Patinkin's best known vocals - but I still didn't care for it. That leaves Tony Bennett and Melissa Manchester. I liked Tony's voice, but he never seemed to dig into the lyrics. I'm not thrilled with Manchester's build up. I prefer a softer ending, but she the best of the rest.
