Great list of symphonies no. 3 in my opinion. The first six slots coincide with my six favorites, although I too would have placed Mahler ahead of Brahms. Berwald's Singulière doing so well was a nice surprise, as I quite enjoy that symphony. I only wish Tchaikovsky's, Dvorák's and Prokofiev's thirds were among the finalists, as they are excellent pieces of music in my view.
Agreed, I'm glad the Berwald is getting the recognition here that it so richly deserves. I think it's one of the most remarkable symphonies of the mid-19th century.
