Below are the results of a couple of tests I just ran. The results look OK to me, but navigating the website in my browser is still agonizingly slow.

Ping statistics for 192.124.249.152:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 33ms, Maximum = 36ms, Average = 34ms
So those are perfectly good ping times and TTL is as expected, so no indication of network congestion in any of that lot. And yet it's slow for you... very peculiar indeed.

Day 3, it's a disaster still. Nothing at all has changed.

Can we get some word from the site on what is going on?

It kinda sucks being left with no communication during this event.

The prob is still here. Since speeding up a bit yesterday nothing has changed. Its either a random hacker strike or a maintenance, maybe because they are radically changing the outlook. I had the same experience with FB before they ''upgraded''(to worse always) few moths ago...But blackouts on a MASSIVE level of many different social networks go on for couple of years now..Twitter, FB, Viber and Whatsapp the last...Outages in certain parts of the world or even in some parts of the country(east west coast of US) This looks earily familiar...

Perhaps they don't know?
The response times are rather high today ... hovering around 16 seconds. Two days ago they were normal at an average of 1.03 seconds.

There are a number of situations that can contribute to the slowness today
1) hosting service maintenance - Backups, etc.
2) minor updating of our software by the owner.
3) sun spots and/or alien presence .

There has been no downtime of the servers and according to our monitoring service we are 100% online. November showed that we were at 99.7%, but zero downtime.

It will get better ... usually does ... If something major happens we will let you know!

They do know ...................................
The server load averages are well within acceptable ranges.
They do know :(

Yeah, I've noticed today that that particular site is consistent in its 'Down' reporting. Others come and go, though.

I don't know the DNS entries for the site. They seem to be using "sucuri.net" as their cloud proxy. I don't know them: I'd use Cloudflare myself. But, you'd think securi.net should be able to mitigate DDoS issues. It's what they do, after all. Allegedly.

That said, this wasn't a particularly inspiring look:

If the DNS provider for the site isn't accessible, it's not going to help people accessing the sites it's providing the DNS lookups for! Those of us who aren't experiencing trouble are possibly just lucky that our DNS caches have the relevant server IP information which hasn't aged out yet. Those doing fresh DNS lookups might be running into securi.net availability issues.
This again...

It says the site is ''DOWN MORE THAN A WEEK''...Crazy!

But even crazier is the comment below...Do we know this fella???:D

''vodafone.de'' is also down...This server is in Europe, right? This looks like a major hack attack on some particular network so this is collateral maybe.

Unfortunately, we don't know much about the problem. The server load averages now are 0.89 1.11 1.32. Load averages are a measure of the system load on the CPU averaged over a 1, 5, and 15 minute period. Under 1 is ideal, but TC generally has averages a little higher than 1. The load averages a day ago were 2-3. The slow response does not seem to be a function of the load averages since the response has been fairly consistently slow (for some), but the averages have changed significantly over the past 3 days.

What's most surprising is that many members have not been affected while others have been strongly affected. We will certainly try to find out more about the problem and report back when we have information.

For the past 2 days I have not been able to post via "Quick reply" (I'm trying the "Advanced" now). With "Quick reply" I get a message about leaving or staying on the page with the staying option doing nothing. I get no response when clicking a "like" and when choosing the video icon my page "grays out" thus nothing gets done.

A bit faster and more responsive now

I fear this is bigger than site admins can reach...Rumors around ''cancelling the internet'' come to mind...I wonder what more 2020 has in bag for us

Curiously, I took my laptop home last night and posted my current listening. This forum is very fast at home on both my iPad and laptop. At work, it is very slow. I haven't brought my iPad to work to try. Does this make sense to anyone? It tells me that it has something to do with the communication between this website and the server.

Very similar to the issues I am having as well. It took at least 2 minutes to respond just now. At least the options within the 'Quick Reply' are showing themselves today, but, most the 'buttons' are useless.

Curious about senza sordino's findings, I tried running my iPad with cellular data instead of my wifi network (Im almost always on my iPad w/wifi when using this site), but unfortunately, no change for me using cellular.

My phone and computer both load the site nicely when I use wifi. Takes a lot more time when I use mobile data. Interesting, indeed.

Seems a bit hit and miss with me. Slow page loading when I visited this morning but sweet as a nut right now.

I have notified Frederik of the issue.

What is interesting that not all members are experiencing any slowness ... I'm not and I log in from Arizona (USA) which is where I live. The site blips along normally even if I do not log in ... so it appears to be an internet issue and not the servers.

I do know that we have a dedicated server just for magle.dk ... the two forums and Frederik's pages.

The server load averages are well within normal tolerance ... anything below 4.0 is considered acceptable.

Anyway, yes, we noticed the complaints ... sorry for the delay but I simply cannot be here 24/7. The matter has been noted and Frederik has been notified.

Hello from Spain. Site running really slow just since today December 10th. I can't know what's this about... Good luck and wish you got vaccinated by the next time I see you here.
