Thanks to the sage wisdom of Taggart I have searched Talk Classical for similar threads and found nothing so I ask you.
Which audio and or media player do you use when listening to music via your computer?
The reason I ask is I've just found "Jriver Media Center". For the longest time I thought this was bundled software with iriver portable media players how stupid of me!
It turns out JRiver is a fairly complex media centre avaible for Windows, OS X and even some Linux distributions. It has some great audiophile features that thus far I've only just downloaded it make it seem by far the best audio player out there in my opinion.
The downside? Well you have to pay for it...
You can download a free trial version and the master upgrade costs $69.00 (there are cheaper options). I don't know yet if it's worth it I haven't ran into anything behind a "paywall" but there must be some features cut off to trial users.
Anyway have you tried it trial/full version?
Either way I'd love to know what you use to play your media and why, what codec you use and what OS.
Regards,
Fox
